RECENT ACTIVITY - BUSY BUILDING BEDS!
This is a video of a very talented singer/song writer that, with a couple of great friends, wrote this song for us. Thanks so much Brianne, Matt and Caitlin. I hope this touches the hearts of all those that have helped us find those kiddos in need. Enjoy!

Life is funny. Just when you think you aren’t measuring up or feel like you are missing out on life’s true treasures, you get a small letter from a grateful and concern child who’s worry for others brings you back to where your feel your contributions to life really matter. Thank you Asher and the Ustick Elementary. Your encouraging letter has strengthened this weary soul. Shout out to Liz, her husband Jerod and the whole SHP-Boise Chapter. Well done.read more
We have a San Diego chapter for SHP!?! Get out of town!!! (no, seriously…let’s all get out of town and go build beds in San Diego!) But in all seriousness, seeing this thing grow from building beds on the floor in my buddy Luke Mickelson’s garage, to having 2 chapters, one in Twin Falls and one in Boise, to building over 300 bunk beds in 4 years, to having an actual Chapter in San Diego…well, it is humbling, to be honest. To all who have been a part of this in whatever capacity (and at this point there are literally thousands of you), we say Thank YOU! You are forever a part of our SHP family. Can’t wait to see what the next 4 years brings!read more
We would like to introduce the newest Chapter to SHP. The San Diego chapter completed its first ever build like they had done it many times before. Help us welcome Mitch and Nancy Mathews to the SHP family. We will be spending the next couple of months getting them set up and independent, so they can help all of those wonderful children in San Diego.read more
We were so blessed this weekend. SHP was honored to be supported by companies and volunteers from the San Diego area for our first ever Build Day in California. Yesterday over 40 volunteers showed up in support of the needy families in their community to build 21 bunk beds for their children. In just a few short hours, we successfully built 21 bunks ready for delivery, as well as began to spread the word that we can help. Thanks to all who were involved.read more

On a cold day in December, one young man has decided to warm the hearts of others. Kaden Barnes, for part of an Eagle Scout Project, has rounded up 58 sheet sets, 18 comforters, 25 pillows and blankets for the children SHP will deliver too. Simple amazing, these young people of today.
Join with me in thanking Kaden and his parents for taking time today to help. Such a great family helping other great families in need.
What a wonderful way to spend Christmas! We had the opportunity to deliver 2 bunks out by Gooding. The roads were very icy and we nearly slid off a few times but we made it and these 4 little girls were very excited. They had given their beds to their cousins who didn’t have any. It’s amazing to see kids so young trying to help others. We were glad to be able to help them in return. We couldn’t think of anything we’d rather do on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas from all of us at SHP and we hope you all get to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. 🎄read more

The SHP family has been blessed again to help a few more kids in our valley. These kids were amazing kind and in need. This family is in a rough spot with mom doing her best to complete Chemotherapy and work to provide for her kids. We had so much fun helping their family. We have so many to thank for making this happen. We are so grateful for every single person who donates their time, effort and funds to help our kids.read more
It is very important to recognize generous people and organizations in our community. The Lions Club of Twin Falls invited sleep in heavenly peace to their weekly meeting today. They did so because they wanted to donate $1000 the SHP because they really believe in our program. We had no idea it was coming, and it came to US as a complete surprise. Thank you Lions Club of Twin Falls your generosity is very moving and so much appreciated.read more

There are few people out there that give all they can in helping others. Marshall Bishop, his guy’s and all the caring people at Magic Valley Concrete are some of those few people. We have been fighting a losing battle with water at our new building and these guys have saved the day. Without hesitation, they have donated their time and material in helping us protect our equipment and most importantly these bunks for children. Please join me in thanking them for their heart filled gift to us. If you need concrete, there is no better.read more
I thought I would share the good news. Our goal was to reach 100 bunks in a single year. With last year’s record breaking 77, we thought the 100 mark would be shooting for the moon. Well, after the most recent Build Days in October, the total count thus far for 2016 is 119 completed bunks. I couldn’t believe it. Between the hard work and dedication of Jordan and Heather Allen, the Boise Chapter Presidents, to the wonderful and caring donations of companies throughout the Magic and Treasure Valleys, to the awesome people that have donated their time and resources to help in Build Day’s, thank you. What an achievement this year has been….and it isn’t even close to being over.read more
